I've managed to hit a decent marker with my damage, so far but with high amounts of +fire dmg% you can easily add another +100% more. I take Vault on my left click because its good for mobility and for a long time I had no Discipline spenders, which felt like a wasted opportunity. Lots of CDR means you can spam your Vengeance and hatred-replenishers often. Basically you need to get into the fray of things to maximize the damage of your Fan of Knives, as well as knowing when to throw off your Impale. This build is not for people who like to click minimally, I would rate it high on a scale of micro-management intensity. If running out is a big problem I suggest switching Vault to Grenades or Bolas. The Bat companion and Preparation are used for hatred management, but if you find that running out of hatred isn't a problem, I would suggest switching the bat to the wolf, and Preparation to Marked for Death. The whole point of this build is getting in close and personal with a Demon Hunter, something that is rarely seen on Battlenet. They're also adding the ability to hold quivers with melee weapons. The Shadow's Mantle set is getting a huge rework for the 2.4 patch upcoming which will completely revamp the way we play a Melee DH.Ģ Pieces: While equipped with a melee weapon, all damage is increased by 1000%Ĥ Pieces : Shadow Power gains all runes and lasts foreverĦ Pieces: Impale deals 30,000% weapon damage to the first enemy it hits. If you find you need more survivability, Life on Hit and Vitality might work better for you. Our top priority is NOT running out of hatred.
